The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) has recently published a ranking of the best players in eight key areas of the game. In today’s quiz, your task is to identify which players stood out in each category.

After starting the quiz, you’ll see 8 tables — each with 10 empty slots for players from the top 5 leagues who achieved the highest CIES index in that area over the past six months. Each player can appear in only one table — the one where he reached his best score. For every row, you’ll also see the player’s current club, and the hint will reveal his initials.

And what are those eight areas? Players were rated based on air defence, ground defence, defensive build-up, orchestration, take on (1v1), chance creation, finishing, and air attack.
